Employers want employees in their workplace who they can trust and rely upon, and who they know they can ask to complete challenging tasks and will independently do what needs to be done. Employers are not interested in hiring someone who needs their hand held throughout each workday or who constantly needs to be reminded of proper procedures and protocol. Instead, they like to see initiative, the desire to take on a leadership role, and the ability to see that through to the end.
